Crewel Embroidery Finished & Framed * Baby Photo *

My mother made this back in the late 70's for my coming baby of unknown gender. The "theme" of the room was circus animals so this fit nicely, with the lion, (circus?) train and drum. It ain't pretty on the back of the embroidery but I see what her problem was. She had to do some fancy maneuvering to get the fabric to lay flat and used lots of little pieces of masking tape to finish the job. I love that! The frame is stained dark but would be very easy to paint a brighter color. Then just insert a photo of your favorite baby (or furry friend?) You may want to use a new piece of cardboard for the backing. Framed, it measures 6" H x 5" W x 1.25" D. Rather than it end up in a landfill eventually, I'm looking for a new home.
